Gardner at Brush dental clinic to Volunteer

U.S. Rep. Cory Gardner will be at the fifth annual Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM). The COMOM event is a two-day free dental clinic at Brush High School where Representative Gardner will be volunteering this Saturday. The clinic will be held from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and no appointments will be accepted.

Proper dental care is vital to our overall health, and I commend the Colorado Mission of Mercy for sponsoring this event and bringing basic dental care to Colorado communities. Rural communities in particular face tougher challenges when it comes to getting proper dental care because there are so few dentists and people often have to drive long distances to see them. Raising awareness about the importance of basic dental care and prevention is the first step toward helping people avoid discomfort down the road that can interfere with school and work.

Gardner will be touring the free clinic this Saturday at 11 a.m. and volunteering with triage and exit interviews during his visit.
